It has been a busy week for us at CS. We are very grateful to our clients and to you readers for supporting us. Anyway, for today’s blog post we will do things a little different. Instead of telling you about our projects and what we have done in detail, we would like you to know us a little better. Let’s get to know the brawns and the brains of CS.

Starting off with the founder of CS, Mr. Shaiful Anuar Ramli started our sister company CS Trading & Transport Pte. Ltd. in 2003. After 8 years in the logistics industry, Mr. Shaiful capitalizes his opportunity to venture in the marine and engineering industry in 2011 when he realizes his forte and interests in designing and custom build items. Thus, CS Marine & Engineering Pte. Ltd was established. Born in 1975, Mr. Shaiful has interests in heavy machineries since he was at a young age. Fascinated with machineries and mechanical items, this business savvy founder starts off by helping his friends modifying bicycles and revamping bicycles. After 20 years, bicycles moved on to tractors, bulldozers, and trailers. 

Starting out on his own in 2003 was no walk in the park. According to Mr. Shaiful, earning trusts and building relationship with clients was the hardest for him for the first year. However, he believed that his work will speak for itself. He says, " When you provide them with impeccable services, they will come back to you but if your services aren't excellent, they will run away from you ". For him, service quality is the integral component in his success. 

When asked how does he maintain his service quality from day to day. He answered " Frequent monitoring, coaching, and motivation of our employees are important. It is essential to give credit to the employees when the credit is due and to point out mistakes when they are made. I feel that consistent monitoring is the most important thing for me as it will keep my employees on their toes. However, I do not monitor them like a hawk 24/7 at the workplace or worksite but I will always make sure that I spend a little bit of time at the worksite. "

All work and no play certainly does not describe Mr. Shaiful. A bike enthusiast, he spends his free time riding his bike with his family and friends. He says, " You got to work hard and play moderately, you cannot play too hard because then you will forget that there are still work to be done tomorrow ".  

When asked what is his aim for the company, he says " At CS we strive to achieve our vision. That is the reason why it is there in the first place. "
